Privacy Policy
CenturisTime and CenturisPOS are local-first desktop applications. Operational records — including attendance, employees, schedules, and transactions — are stored in an encrypted database on the machine where the software is installed. A one-time CenturisPOS license includes encrypted register-to-register sync over the local network. When cloud services are enabled by subscription, supported POS register records are sent to Centuris services for cloud sync.
The applications do not include telemetry, advertising SDKs, or analytics. They connect to compatible hardware on your local network and may contact Centuris services when account or license verification is required, as well as for update checks.
CenturisPOS offers two separate backup paths. Account-approved recovery keeps the backup file on the drive selected in the app; only its identifier and a server-managed encrypted-at-rest copy of its recovery key are stored by the account service. After a fresh sign-in and explicit approval from the same account, the service sends the key so the app can verify and restore that local file. This is provider-assisted key recovery, not end-to-end encryption. With a cloud subscription, backup snapshots are encrypted on the register before upload. The newest successful snapshot is kept for 30 days from creation, even if backups or the subscription stop; earlier snapshots are kept for up to seven days. There are at most seven restore points per business and a 1 GB limit per backup. Larger stores can contact Centuris for a custom plan. A separate password-protected export can be restored without the account service.
To issue and manage a license, we process the information needed for the transaction and device binding, such as your name, email address, product, payment reference, and hardware or machine identifier.
